I'm pretty savvy on fabrics, too, as I also am a seamstress, or was, in another lifetime - teehee - beads have taken over this lifetime.
Good reminder: I will check out upholstery shops. They may be willing to give me a better price on a quantity purchase. Besides, that upholstery fabric might be fire retardant or could be made such????

Santa Fe? Suzanne Cooper just moved there and I've been a Bead Elf in 2 of her books: "Second Looks" (2 necklaces) and "Far Away Places" (1 necklace); also, Valerie Hixson's "Bloomin' Beads" features one of my necklaces.
